What guarantee do I get with my project?

We offer a 5 year guarantee on the installation of the product and ten years on the product itself. This guarantee is backed by the second largest paving manufacturer in the country Brett. We are part of their approved installer scheme. With this backing our work is checked regularly to ensure it is up to the high standard required by Brett. You will receive the guarantee in writing for your records.

How does the free design consultation work?

We can arrange an appointment with one of our representatives who will be able to talk through what you are looking for. This is the first step in ensuring the project is completed to the specification you would like. Whilst there we can walk you through the available materials and designs and get some pictures of the area as it is now. These pictures can then be used to provide you with a detailed drawing of the finished product. This can be particularly helpful if you are unsure what colour or layout to go for.

How do you provide the free no obligation quote?

During your visit one of our representatives will ensure that the area your require paved is measured correctly. We are then able to provide you with an accurate measurement of the area that needs to be paved in square metres. This ensures that you are quoted as accurately as possible. All work that needs to be carried out will be discussed during the consultation. This allows us to provide an accurate price for each project. We will provide you with a written copy of the estimate.

What happens to the surface that is there at the moment?

We will dig out the current area to the required level. The waste is taken away and disposed of correctly at a waste transfer station. We ensure that all contractors that are used during this process have a valid waste transfer licence.

How far do you need to dig out?

Approximately 250mm for high traffic area or areas that need to take a heavy load such as driveways and 175mm for low traffic areas such as patio’s and pathways.

What goes underneath my new driveway/patio?

When installing permeable paving we use crushed limestone. This is all part of the process to make the area permeable, for more information on this please check out our section on permeable paving. On our other paving or flags we use a type 1 sub base. Regardless of the project we use a geotextile underneath the sub base. This stops the base from mixing with the soil underneath which can make parts of it unstable.

How are the kerbs installed and do they hold firm?

All kerbs are bedded and haunched with concrete, This ensures they will hold firm for years to come. We will ensure that all edge blocks are not retained by a wall and that the whole driveway is built to last.

Can I see some work you have done?

We can provide you with details of jobs we have done in order for you to go out and have a look for yourself. We know it’s nice to get up close and personal with such an important project. There is nothing stopping a contractor giving you details of somebody else’s work, this is why we have joined checkatrade.com you can see references and examples of what genuine customer have to say about us on our profile.

Is the company insured?

We are fully insured and protected. We hold public liability insurance so in the extremely unlikely event of an accident there is nothing to worry about.

Will you get in the way of the neighbors or make a lot of noise?

We aim to be as polite and courteous to everyone. Sometimes the work does involve traffic coming and going from site to deliver materials etc. Depending on what surface is already there it can be a noisy job. When we first arrive we will contact your neighbors and make them aware of what is going on. We will provide them with our contact details and ask them to contact us directly if they have any issues.
